USING THE EDILIANS ONLINE TOOLS
EdiEst
The online tile estimator is designed for contractors, builder and roofing merchants and self-build. EdiEst will provide a list of products with product codes and quantities. There are, however, some technical constraints that need to be considered:
- The calculations are based on a single pitch so if you have multiple pitches on the roof please do each one separately.
- We use a standard choice of products. In each project, there may be alternatives available.
- When our calculations are done, we provide for wastage and rounding on products to make sure that there is no shortfall. Edilians will not be held liable for any shortfalls or excesses of products and users are responsible to check quantities before ordering.
EdiFix
Fixing specifications are based on BS 5534 which requires an accurate mapping grid to calculate the wind speed. If your postcode is not found, as may be the case in new build, it is important that if you use an alternative postcode, you must get confirmation from Edilians Technical Services.
When performing the calculations, we assume some standard design values. If you are unsure please confirm your design with Edilians Technical Services.
If your site is situated near an airport and maybe in the landing and take off vortex region or if the site is situated in a very exposed area, please seek further technical support.
EdiSpec
Specifiers requiring an NBS style clause document for Edilians products can generate their own documentation using the online Product Specification tool. Edilians strives to make sure all products used in the specification work together to provide a whole roof solution.
If you use specify non-Edilian products in your final specification it is your responsibility to make sure that they are compatible.
